🍪 Origin of Chocolate Chip Cookies:
The chocolate chip cookie was invented in the 1930s by Ruth Wakefield, who owned the Toll House Inn in Massachusetts, USA. She created the recipe by adding chopped bits of a Nestlé semi-sweet chocolate bar into cookie dough, expecting them to melt—but instead, the chocolate held its shape, creating the first-ever chocolate chip cookie.
